Pinterest is a huge social network where anyone can create a board on any subject that interests them and upload images and videos as ‘pins’ to share such visual content with their friends or anybody. Pins can be under different categories and topics for different purposes, such as marketing, teaching, etc.

Also, Pinterest allows users to follow others, contacting them by messages, comment on pins, re-pin, and share their pins.

Students can use Pinterest in the classroom in so many different ways. For example, students working on a research project or preparing a presentation for their classwork can use visual images to support their ideas. Also, students can create a Pinterest group with one board to work together, which makes their life much easier when they collaborate and discuss ideas and have this classwork in one place. Moreover, students can create “a digital student portfolio” to post pins every day. At the end of the year, this digital student portfolio will become a perfect portfolio that they can return to at any time.

Pinterest is such a source of creativity for both teachers and students. So, we can use it in our careers to create groups for the teachers to share knowledge and experiences. We can also use it to create groups with the classroom to search for anything or do some activities to make crafts or even get some ideas about topics that we are interested in. Also, Pinterest has many printable sheets that we can use to help our students. One of the most important things about Pinterest is providing help to students with special needs by offering lesson plans and ideas to help them.
